Berkeley Flagstone Patio

Transforming outdoor spaces has always been our focus, and this backyard project in Berkeley allowed us to do just that. The task was to bring a fresh, functional design to the client's yard, blending seamlessly with its urban surroundings while still giving a touch of natural serenity.

At the core of this transformation was the installation of a circular stone patio. We meticulously selected and positioned each stone to ensure a sturdy and balanced structure, emphasizing long-term durability and aesthetic appeal. This carefully arranged patio now serves as a perfect spot for relaxation and social gatherings, making it a functional centerpiece of their outdoor area.

Further complimenting the patio, we worked on enhancing the pathway that leads gracefully to the back entrance of the house. By choosing materials that echo the natural tones and textures of the main patio, we ensured a continuous and cohesive design throughout the space.

One of the unique aspects of this project was incorporating a variety of drought-friendly plants around the patio and pathway. Given California's climate, choosing plants that require minimal water and maintenance was crucial. This not only lends an attractive, green touch to the landscape but also aligns with sustainable practices.

The execution of this design required precision and careful planning, considering the constraints of the existing yard space and the urban environment. However, the result is a harmonious outdoor retreat that meets the homeowner's needs and surpasses their expectations, without veering away from practicality.
